Agreement
By accessing Museum of Algorithms (Nexadecimal LLC), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Purpose of the museum
Museum of Algorithms is a free public exhibition of algorithm visualizations intended for general appreciation, education, and cultural interest. Exhibits are artistic and pedagogical simplifications. They are not a substitute for professional advice in computer science, security, finance, medicine, or any other field.
Educational disclaimer
- Visualizations may omit steps, use small examples, or take creative license for clarity.
- Cryptography and security exhibits (e.g. RSA, Diffie–Hellman) are illustrative only and must not be used to protect real data or systems.
- Machine learning and other applied topics are shown conceptually, not as deployment guidance.
Intellectual property
The site design, text, and original visualizations are owned by Nexadecimal LLC unless otherwise noted. You may share links to exhibits. You may not scrape, republish, or commercially redistribute substantial portions of the site without written permission.
Voluntary support
Optional contributions described on our Support the Museum page are voluntary payments to Nexadecimal LLC, not purchases of goods or services, unless explicitly stated otherwise at the time of payment. Support does not entitle you to ownership, voting rights, or special access to exhibits.
All contributions are final and non-refundable, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not offer refunds for change of mind, duplicate contributions, or dissatisfaction with the free exhibition. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights in your jurisdiction, if any apply. Disputes may still be raised with Stripe or your card issuer under their policies.
When you contribute, you leave our site and complete payment on Stripe's hosted checkout. Your payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. on behalf of Nexadecimal LLC. Stripe's terms and privacy policy apply to that transaction.
Disclaimer of warranties
The site and all exhibits are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nexadecimal LLC and its members, managers, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or reliance on any exhibit, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim related to the site shall not exceed the greater of (a) amounts you paid to us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100).
Stripe and third-party services
Support payments are completed through Stripe. We are not responsible for Stripe's services, availability, or policies, except as required by law. Links to other third-party sites, if any, are provided for convenience; we do not control their content or practices.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Nexadecimal LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction apply.
